Dedicated Hosting Disclosed

When we speak of web hosting servers, there are three main categories - web hosting servers, VPS (virtual web servers) and dedicated hosting. Shared servers accommodate numerous clients and hence the system resources per web hosting account are restricted, VPS hosting offer more configuration autonomy, but also influence other private virtual web hosting servers on the hardware node if utilized rashly, and dedicated hosting servers give you the option to carry out everything you decide without messing with anyone else.

Dedicated hosting servers are usually much more expensive than shared web servers or virtual hosting servers. Why would anyone, then, want to use them? The explanation is rather simple. If your company has a popular website, or just has very explicit web server configuration requirements, the most relevant choice would be a dedicated hosting servers. For somebody who is inclined to invest in safety and stability, the higher price is not a problem. You get complete root access and can utilize 100 percent of the dedicated server's resources without anyone else using these resources and interfering with your web sites.

Hardware specifications

Most website hosting providers, incl. us at Domaine Shops, provide different hardware configurations you can select from in line with your requirements. The configurations include different varieties of processors, a different number of cores, different RAM and server hard drive sizes and different monthly traffic allowances. You can select a hosting Control Panel, which is a handy interface if you want to utilize the dedicated hosting servers for hosting purposes solely and prefer not to use an SSH client for all the changes you will be making. We provide 3 sorts of hosting CP software - Hepsia, DirectAdmin and cPanel.

The hosting CP of your preference

If you are a self-reliant Linux OS user (our dedicated servers are powered by Linux or other Unix-based Operating Systems), you could manage your dedicated hosting servers through an SSH client exclusively. That, though, could be inconvenient, especially if you choose to grant complete root access to somebody else who has less technical skills than yourself. That is why having hosting CP software pre-activated is a smart idea. The Hepsia web hosting Control Panel user interface that we offer does not give you complete root access and is mostly suitable for someone who runs many online portals that require plenty of resources, but would rather manage the sites, databases and electronic mail accounts through an easy-to-use Control Panel. The DirectAdmin and cPanel web hosting CPs, on the other hand, grant full root access and include three levels of access - root, reseller and user. If you plan to resell hosting packages instead of using the dedicated hosting servers only for yourself, you should select one of these two.

Server monitoring and backup services

Last but not least, there is the matter of monitoring the dedicated hosting servers and of backing it up. In the event of a problem with your dedicated hosting web server, such as a non-responsive Apache or a network downtime, it is useful to have some sort of monitoring system activated. Here at Domaine Shops the system administrators monitor all dedicated hosting servers for ping timeouts, and, if you order a Managed Services upgrade, they monitor the individual services on the dedicated hosting servers as well. Backups are also an additional option - the company offers you data backups on our own backup servers. You could pick a type of RAID that would allow you to store the very same data on 2 hard drives as a protective measure in the event of a hard disk failure, or in case someone whom you have ranted complete root-level access erases something unintentionally.
